In this month’s issue of the magazine, we told you about our experience at the Field to Vase Dinner in Quakertown, hosted by David Beahm of David Beahm Experiences. Guests knew they had to dress to impress, and the fashion we witnessed was topnotch. With more outdoor dining undoubtedly underway this season, here are some top-to-bottom tips to keep in mind.
Sleeves? A tank top? Light sweater? It get’s confusing. This spring, try a happy medium by wearing a strapless top with long sleeves. Simple patterns are the best way to go when choosing spring fashion, so try something that isn’t super flashy. Strapless is the perfect way to show some skin while still keeping warm (for those breezy nights!).
For causal dining, jeans are always the best way to go. Ripped, light wash jeans are easy to dress up or down. However, some spring nights are hotter than others. Choose a denim skirt for something not too warm yet thin enough to stay comfortable.
This spring, shoes will be the ultimate showstopper. You can get away with keeping your booties around for those cooler nights or choose to transition right to a strappy sandal when the temperature begins to rise. Light browns are the color to choose—they go with everything and they are the perfect winter-summer in-between color. A little heel will elongate your legs and dress up any outfit, but if you’re going to be trekking through lumpy lawn, stick to wedges.
