Vynecrest Vineyards & Winery
Wine enthusiasts familiar with the Lehigh Valley Wine Trail probably already frequent Vynecrest Vineyards & Winery—and for good reason! Husband and wife owners Jon and Jan Landis began Vynecrest in 1974 with just five acres of land and 50 vines, which has since grown by an additional 23 acres to make their in-demand award-winning wines. Vynecrest's rustic yet upscale atmosphere, best enjoyed in their Vyneskeller wine tasting barn, is the perfect afternoon outing for those who wish to sample all the wines of Vynecrest. Sip Pinot Noir, Riesling or Chambourcin while taking in the breathtaking scenery that is reminiscent of Napa Valley–only closer. Cheers!

Ye Kountry Kupboard
Shopping at Ye Kountry Kupboard in Limeport is like stepping back in time to the days when Pennsylvania was rural, roads were unpaved and a trip to the nearby general store supplied you with everything you needed for your home. Though the merchandise has modernized, little else has. This little slice of Americana is chock full of everything from laundry detergent and batteries, to paper products, snacks and pet food. When locals stop in to pick up a few essentials, they can also fill up with a freshly made deli sandwich and a bottle of pop. Its atmosphere is entirely nostalgic, down-home and quaint. You just can't find many places like this anymore, which makes it a necessary addition to our list.

Landis Store Hotel Outdoor Bistro
This is simply a summer must-do! Take the time for the scenic drive to Boyertown and spend a leisurely evening on the patio at the Landis Store Hotel. Recently renovated and expanded, this charming patio is highlighted with a cozy outdoor bar, trimmed with summer's quintessential perennials and has a romantic, bucolic atmosphere all its own. Enormous umbrellas shade the hot summer brunch-time sun and cool evenings are buffered with the warmth and ambiance of an earthen fire pit.
Oh, yeah, did we mention the menu features entrées with ingredients like heirloom tomatoes, shiitake ginger cream and cilantro noodles? This place is so worth the drive! Make reservations, seating on the patio is at a premium.
