Fashion shows seem to be popping up all over the Valley these days. Last Saturday, the halls of the Baum School of Art in Allentown were abuzz for the much anticipated Frock & Roll: Fashion that Rocks Designer Meet and Greet and Student Fashion Show.
For those who don't know, the Frock & Roll exhibition was curated by Baum School faculty member and “Project Runway” alumna Pamela Ptak.
Avant-garde designs and garments constructed of unique materials and methods graced the runway, created by talented fashion students at both the Baum School and Lehigh Carbon Community College. The show included expertly tailored jackets and skirts, draped dresses in bold colors, punk designs and dramatic couture ensembles.
Following the show, guests (including LVS fashion stylist Sara Nelson) mingled with student designers and fashion celebs including custom shoe designer Jason Osborne, milliner Hannah Nour, and fashion designers Annina King and Ben Pappadeas Chmura (from Project Runway season 7). So much talent in one room . . . Sara just had to share with us a behind the scenes look at the event!
