As the clock finally strikes 4 p.m., I wish I could jump for joy that my workday is nearly over, but the truth is, I am only halfway through it. I had my doubts about being able to adapt to my jam-packed schedule this semester, but it feels almost second nature to me now. And is it weird to say I feel entirely comfortable walking around campus in what I like to call business attire? The route from my school in Bethlehem to the magazine here in Easton, and then to my job in Center Valley has got me on constant automatic pilot. I have actually caught myself accidently driving this route on a Saturday, adding some comic relief to my day! I took a special detour last Saturday though, finding myself at Horns in Bethlehem, one of the 2013 Decadent Dish winners, and I will definitely be back soon for another one of their beyond-yummy vegan cheese steaks.
Last, but not least, I must give the Style Girls a special shout-out. Although I tend not to chime in much, I do enjoy the humorous chatter I hear going on around the magazine office, and I admire all of their entertaining and lively personalities. I also admire their motivation and drive to get the job done. It is motivating for me as well, not only now, but as I progress along my career path. With two weeks of my internship to go at Lehigh Valley Style, I hope to pick up a few more helpful pointers that will lead me to a successful future!
