It's time to put those beloved Pinterest boards to use! With a cocktail in one hand and a can of spray paint in the other, you can make the most of your holiday party using these Pinterest inspired do-it-yourself tricks.
Painted With Pride
This is so simple and pretty you have to try it! Decorate your home for the holiday by giving some old mason jars a makeover with red, white and blue paint. Use them to hold eating utensils or fill them with flowers and use as a centerpiece.
Star Spangled Brownies
Push aside the fruit skewers and make way for a sweet treat that's easy to make and even easier to eat. Ignore the calorie count on this one and dig in because it's a holiday, and everyone knows calories don't count on the holidays!

Land of the Free and Home of the Selfie
Grab a prop and strike a pose! Play around with masks, sunglasses, hats, even some mustaches on a stick. Cut and decorate a large piece of cardboard to give your photogenic friends a selfie frame personalized for your holiday party.
Red, White, & Blueberry!
You can't have a holiday picnic without a holiday cocktail (or two). Once the festivities begin offer your guests a blueberry coconut sparkler mixed with a splash of patriotism and a few more splashes of rum.
3 cups fresh blueberries3 Tablespoons lemon juice½ cup coconut rum2 ½ cups ginger aleIceCoconut flakes to garnish (optional)
Mush the blueberries in a medium size bowl then add lemon juice and coconut rum. Using a fine mesh strainer, strain the mixture and discard the blueberry skins
Add ginger ale, stir and pour over ice. Garnish with coconut flakes and fresh blueberries (optional).
Stars and Strikes
Enjoy that tasty cocktail while the kids are occupied with yard games and outdoor activities. Set up a game of lawn bowling where each player gets three tries to knock over the pyramid of festively painted cans. Hide small items around the yard and set the kids loose while they try to complete the scavenger hunt. If it's a warm day, set up a water balloon and squirt-gun station with a large bucket filled with all the battle necessities.
