Come celebrate Bethlehem's very own version of Oktoberfest, now in its third year at SteelStacks, with plenty of festive music, German fare, and games and activities for the whole family. This spirited event takes place over six days and features live music from acts like the Sarah Ayers Band, Billy Bauer Band, Good Time Charlie and many more. And the entertainment doesn't stop with the music.
Look on as competition participants attempt to pull a 40,000-pound Yuengling delivery truck while juggling their own mugs of Yuengling. Race contestants will be vying for the coveted Yuengling Traveling Trophy.
And make sure you don't forget to stop by the annual dachshund race and watch in amusement how fast these tiny dogs can run! Speaking of races, you may wish to participate in the fest's challenging Barrel Rolling race. You and a teammate will be timed while rolling a barrel down and back a 30-yard course. Talk about teamwork!
You must arrive early if you don't want to miss out on the free giveaways to the first 350 to 500 people at the entry gate each day provided by various fest sponsors.
Event dates are October 4-6 and October 11-13. Events times are Friday, 5 p.m. to midnight, Saturday, noon to midnight, and Sunday, noon to 9 p.m.
