We're stuck at home and we're working hard, but we're also enjoying some Netflix binges, good reads and fabulous skincare routines. Read on to find out what we're doing this quarantine!
Watching: We have been using this time to start watching documentaries on Netflix, such as Taylor Swift's Miss Americana. It was so good! It is so interesting to learn the true reality of people and their stories. We are trying to limit our exposure to the news. Next on our list is Invisible War. In between, we are also binge-watching Breaking Bad on Netflix—it's addicting!

Listening: I try to go on three-mile walks every day that the weather is nice and this Spotify Workout Hits playlist has the perfect beat to speed walk to (if you consider 17:01-minute mile a speed walk, LOL).
I also throw in LVS's own Tune It Up and Dance It Out playlist into the mix when I'm feeling a need for upbeat hits.
Watching: I just finished Outer Banks on Netflix and I am completely obsessed. There is something about this show that felt like a complete escape from the current reality. It sucked me in and away from my social media scroll for three-hour binge sessions and streaming into wee hours of the morning.

Obsessing Over: The only things I'm bingeing on are beauty products! I'm stocking up on some of my favorite brands—like Skinceuticals, Dr. Dennis Gross and La Mer—and giving my skin some extra love while working makeup-free from home!

Watching: The Art of Design on Netflix is a sumptuous smörgåsbord of visual delights, with each episode providing intriguing interviews with leaders in a wide variety of creative fields. Ranging from illustration and architecture to costuming and consumer products (and many things in-between), the second season features typographer Jonathan Hoefler as he discusses the development of—be still, my horological heart—a new typeface inspired by vintage watch dials.
Reading: As tempted as I may be to revisit Camus's La Peste, that feels a bit too on-the-nose at the moment. Better to spend time in Paris during the hot mess of the Bourbon Restoration, where the wry observations and scheming social climbers of Honoré de Balzac's Le Père Goriot provide grand company—and are available for free (in translation!) via Google Books.
Listening: I'm admittedly a little late in paying the full attention that it deserves, but Andrew Bird's My Finest Work Yet (2019 Wegawam Music Co.) more than lives up to its name. With subtly assertive compositions (guitar, violin, piano, percussion, etc.) supported by introspective croons, deft wordplay and ethereal flourishes, there's plenty of depth in this album to warrant repeat listens for days on end.

Watching: I'm currently watching Jamestown on Netflix. Its putting things for me right now in perspective as we are living in unusual times. The people that came to Jamestown in 1619 had courage, strength and a passion for creating a new world in a new land. Enjoying this era in this primitive setting!

Watching: There's nothing like endless reality television to get your mind off of a growing pandemic. I'm binge-watching all of season 10 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey on RCN Video On Demand. I'd challenge you to watch this show and not find it gripping, character-driven and thought-provoking! (I'm only half kidding.)
Reading: I've been reading a few pages of Light is the New Black: A Guide to Answering Your Soul's Callings and Working Your Light every day, and it really helps me refocus and harness positive energy. I'm reading it on paperback, but it's also available on Kindle!
