Anthony Alexander says his plant-based journey began after he was a victim of assault. “During my recovery, I went 100 percent plant-based while my wife [Nadia] was pescatarian,” he says. “We realized that there was no place that offered plant-based options that were organic and no pescatarian options that were wild-caught. We then decided to open Almost Vegan Cafe, which is the best of both worlds.” The mission is to bring health and wellness to the community, catering to vegans as well as those who are on the vegan path but still want to add fish to their diet. They recommend the Almost Wing Platter (crispy oyster mushrooms) and the fish tacos.
