Baba Bakery opened its doors in Nazareth this past February, offering a mix of traditional Turkish and Egyptian pastries and desserts. “I have been looking to open my own business for a while now, and I found the place through a friend of mine,” says Mohamed Hagag, noting that he’s excited to be offering something special and new to the area. “I have been in the Lehigh Valley for over 15 years and I have not seen any other place that sells our offerings,” says Hagag. Offerings range from $3–$15, with the best seller being their Baba soft bagels. “The community is very friendly and welcoming. Everyone is excited to have us here in Nazareth,” says Hagag. The bakery is looking forward to their plans to serve a full-day menu in the future, including breakfast, lunch and dinner options.
