Rebekah Doyle, founder and owner of Cafe 23, says that the passing of her husband inspired her to revisit her dream of owning a restaurant, something she had set aside while raising her sons. “My late husband's determination to pursue a business despite his illness served as a profound inspiration,” she shares. “Though it wasn't his original career path, his resilience taught me the importance of following one's passions.” Now, Doyle offers delectable breakfast, brunch and lunch options via Cafe 23. Catering to a variety of tastes, the café strives to be inclusive to all different approaches to healthy eating. From breakfast sandwiches, to keto chicken quesadillas, to cheesecake taquitos, the meals are not only delicious but satisfying. Doyle says their top-selling item changes by the week, but her avocado toast remains a favorite among customers. She also recommends the recently introduced French toast casserole, which may take the lead as the favorite once word spreads. Find Cafe 23 popping up at Jay’s Local on Fridays and Sundays (brunch!) this summer as part of their Pop-Up & Kitchen Takeover Program. Doyle also hopes to launch her own food truck in the next few months.
