Dolce Sweet Café
The inside of Dolce Sweet Café resembles something along the lines of Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory, with lollipops hanging from the ceiling and a zany assortment of treats on display. There are often classic movies and music playing, adding to the fun and relaxed vibe of the place. The café offers freshly brewed coffee, cappuccinos, twelve flavors of homemade gelato, artisan truffle bars, fudge, hot soups and other delicious and locally sourced products. Owner Stephanie Varone cites the gelato as the fan favorite, but she personally recommends trying affogato, a coffee-based dessert made with a shot of espresso and a hearty scoop of gelato. When describing the café’s assortment, Varone says, “We really want to carry items that you can’t find just anywhere, and we aim to make the experience worth the trip.”
