Taylor Romero created Let Them Eat Cake as a way to encourage indulging in the finer things in life. When Romero was 12, she was obsessed with baking brownies until her mother finally urged her to make something else. “So, naturally I made the hardest thing I could possibly think of, the French macaron,” she says. Ever since then, and after sampling many French macarons, Romero dreamed of creating a small boutique-style bakery of her own. Let Them Eat Cake offers cakes for all occasions, cupcakes and macarons ranging in all sorts of flavors. “My personal favorite is our signature honey lavender macaron,” she says. “It’s a best seller and perfect balance of floral and sweet.” Romero prioritizes quality above all else.
