Locals can now enjoy the offerings of Panchitas Kitchen at Jay’s Local on the days that the café is typically closed. “I began the process of starting my own business back in 2021 and, while doing so, I found it extremely hard to find a rental commercial kitchen that I could cook out of,” says owner Frances Quinones-Mullen. She turned to Facebook where a woman shared with her that Jay’s Local had a new program to help small businesses in the area get their names out and showcase their products. “I reached out to Lyell Scherline who owns Jay’s and since then we have been working together.” Stop by between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays to enjoy what Quinones-Mullen calls Latin Fusion cuisine. The offerings at Panchitas Kitchen include grilled wings, chicken or pork carnitas with a choice of homestyle sauces. “Our cilantro lime sauce has been a hit and I am now offering it for sale in eight-ounce bottles.” Panchitas Kitchen can also be found popping up at Setter Ridge Vineyards, the Bethlehem Rose Garden Farmers Market and Weathered Vineyards.
