Co-owners Willie Burns and Aaron Millan say they have always shared a passion for shoes and that opening a retail location is something they used to dream about together as young teenagers. “Properly Laced was built on two cousins believing in one another and striving to live out their childhood dream,” they share. The pair teamed up in 2021 and started their journey selling sneakers out of their cars and homes for about six months before connecting with Christian Colon, owner of C23ink on 3rd Street in Bethlehem. After about 10 months at C23ink, Burns and Millan were offered the opportunity of a pop-up lease through City Center. Fast-forward to now, and they have just celebrated the grand opening of their permanent location in Downtown Allentown. “To see Allentown develop into a great-looking city, it’s an honor for us to be a part of that,” they share. Now, locals can buy, sell or trade authentic, brand-new, top-brand items at Properly Laced in Allentown or Bethlehem.
