Top Food, Shopping and Experiences in the Lehigh Valley This Week
1. Bar Bix
Easton’s newest boutique hotel, The Townley House recently announced that their bar that was previously accessible only to hotel guests is now open to the public! If you’ve seen inside the hotel, you know the historic meets modern aesthetic totally makes this the most design-forward hotel in the Valley and the bar is no different. Featuring a sleek bar design and indoor seating that flows right out onto their patio, you’ll find lounge seating, umbrellas and live music on their patio every Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. until 11 p.m., all paired with an impressive cocktail list. Visit their IG for details.
2. Lehigh Valley Salsa & Social
During a recent stroll along Allentown’s ArtsWalk, we discovered Ely Dance Studio, home of Lehigh Valley Salsa & Social. Immediately intrigued, we needed to learn everything about what this studio and social entails. We’ve come to find out that Ely’s is the only professional dance studio in the Lehigh Valley teaching salsa, merengue and bachata to both children and adults alike. In addition to weekly classes, they also offer lessons for Sweet Sixteens, weddings and even have a Babies in Motion dance class for children as young as 18 months. Drop-in classes are available for $20 for adults or you can grab a monthly pass for $149 for 12 total hours of any class of your choice. Head over to their website to learn about each style of dance and check out the class schedule.
3. Hot Fitness Factory
For those of you looking to amp up your fitness game, may we suggest booking a class at Hot Fitness Factory where you can choose from a variety of workout classes in their heated room. Take your pick from Hot Buti Yoga, Hot Barre, HotJ400 and the most famous, ABsoluteSHRED with owner, Gio. You can drop in for $15 or purchase a five, 10 or unlimited class card. MindBody reviewers say you’ll totally feel the burn, but in a good way. Sign us up!
4. Folino Estate Mercato
Folino Estate Winery is back with their annual outdoor market debuting this Sunday, May 2 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. and running weekly until October 31. Set up like a traditional neighborhood market in Italy, the Mercato will feature local vendors with their shops featuring food, wearables, crafts and more. Shopping and wine sipping on a Sunday afternoon? Sounds like the perfect Mother’s Day outing, doesn’t it?
5. Cheesesteak Bagel
@tyfieri tagged us in the goodness that is this cheesesteak bagel from Back Home Bagels in Schnecksville and we absolutely had to share with you. It includes grilled Boar's Head roast beef, caramelized onions, sweet peppers, Wisconsin cheddar and roasted garlic mayo. And as if that wasn’t delicious enough, you can select the type of bagel you’d like with this combination. Ty went with an everything bagel but we’re eying up the Garlic Asiago—is there really a wrong choice here? If this particular combo isn’t doing it for you, Back Home has more bagels and sandwich combos than we know what to do with, so do yourself a favor and peruse the menu.
