Top Food Experiences in the Lehigh Valley This Week
1. Caprese + Fondue Kabobs
Continuing on this week’s food journey, we discovered a caprese kabobs box and fondue kabob box that we needed to share with you. This pretty much sounds like an entire meal and we’re here for it. These delectable creations are available all summer long at Franklin Hill Vineyards so we suggest pairing them with a glass of wine, sangria or slushie for truly the best dining experience.
2. The Backyard Bar Co.
Have you ever thought, “Man, I wish I could rent a cute cocktail bar for my backyard”? (No? Only me?) WELL, if you’ve seen all of these adorable mobile cocktail experiences popping up around the ‘gram, now there’s one to rent right here in the Lehigh Valley. The Backyard Bar Co. will help you curate your cocktail experience from how much alcohol you need all the way to crafting a cocktail list. They’ll also provide you with RAMP-certified bartenders as well as everything you need to serve drinks. You have to purchase the alcohol yourself, but they will help you with quantity, type, etc. They also have add-ons like yard games, lounge seating, bubbly wall (!) and more available for rent.
3. Strawberry Shortcake Kits
The question of “what do I bring to the Memorial Day picnic?” has been answered. The Modern Crumb of the Easton Public Market has put together these insanely delicious looking strawberry shortcake kits that include individual vanilla cakes, whipped cream, strawberries macerated with vanilla cream, lemon zest, rose water and sugar. This $32 kit serves up to six guests. Forget red, white and blue Jell-O trifles—you’ll be the hit of the party with this gourmet dessert.
4. Tomato Girl
If you’re a tomato lover and avid gardener, you’re going to want to follow Tomato Girl. Located in Easton, Tomato Girl services the whole Lehigh Valley with more than 17 varieties of heirloom tomato plants available for sale. If you’re interested in growing a variety of heirloom tomatoes, bulk pricing discounts are available along with plant care tips and tricks on their website and Instagram.
5. Tunes at Twilight Backstage Pass
In case you missed it, Tunes at Twilight is back—but in a brand-new way in Downtown Bethlehem. Instead of tunes and drinks only being available within the Sun Inn Courtyard, various musical performances and drink specials are available at different restaurant locations throughout Northside each Thursday night. To amp up your tunes experience you can purchase a backstage pass that will get you exclusive savings, secret menu items and more special offers to participating restaurants and retailers for only $13.
