1. Thanksgiving Poutine
The team at The Flying V is at it again with their outstanding poutine offerings. While many of us know poutine as simply French fries, cheese curds and gravy, the Flying V goes above and beyond a basic poutine with variations such as taco, breakfast, chicken bacon ranch, veggie and whatever special offering they dream up each week. This particular special of Grammy’s Thanksgiving Poutine features fresh-cut fries, cheese curds, gravy, house roasted turkey, house-made stuffing and house-made cranberry sauce. Can you think of any better way to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal than over fresh-cut fries?! 2. Self-Serve Beer + Wine Wall
Ok, now we love this. The Loft at Sweet Water in Pennsburg (a duo wedding and catering venue only a short drive from the Valley) offers a beer and wine wall where you can pour your own drinks. The wall has over 30 taps of beer and wine that are electronically measured per ounce and will be totaled at the end of your stay at the restaurant. They even offer flights where you can sample any combination of beer or wine that you’d like. Pair this experience with something off of their full food menu (the extensive listings of sandwiches would perfectly pair with a self-serve beer). Oh, and did we mention this restaurant sits on a nine-hole golf course? Sounds like a great Saturday day trip if you ask us.
3. Christmas Barn Sale
If you love unique vintage finds and beautifully restored barn atmospheres, you will not want to miss the upcoming Petersell Barn Sale. While this sale is happening Friday and Saturday November 27–28 and Saturday, December 5, we wanted to give you all of the details early enough so you can mark your calendars. Let us tell you that you’re in for quite the experience as the Petersell Barn Sale is held at the Petsersell 1808 home where the grounds and barn atmosphere alone will take your breath away. Once inside the barn, you’ll not only find a unique variety of vintage and antique home décor and furniture finds, but each and every item is curated into perfect vignettes as if you’re stepping back in time into someone’s historic home. While this barn sale happens seasonally, this particular sale will be decked out for Christmas with ornaments, fresh greenery and handmade items. 4. Adult Hot Cocoa
Tis the season for hot cocoa—especially cocoa with a kick. Triple Sun Spirits of Emmaus just released this seasonal treat with the added bonus of the most adorable reindeer accessory donning marshmallows, Hershey kisses and Reese’s to enjoy with your drink. Talk about a dessert meets cocktail masterpiece! If you’re looking for a full-on sweets experience, (who isn’t?) they also have tabletop s’mores for two or four people. If hot cocoa isn’t your thing, the tasting room has a rather large classic cocktail menu and seasonal list with at least 20 cocktails to choose from.
5. Thanksgiving Bundt Cake
Bloomie’s by Lille Syster and Sweet Girlz Bakery have teamed up once again to offer their popular flower and bundt cake centerpiece. It can be a beautiful addition to a holiday tablescape, gift for your loved one or something special to enjoy for yourself.
