Haunted LV: Where to Get Scared

Dorney Park Haunt

When the water park shuts down, the monsters come out. Dorney Park's Haunt runs through the month of October and will feature frightening mazes with names like Blackout, Blood on the Bayou, Cornstalkers, Urgent Scare and Tourist Trap. The Scare Zones include CarnEvil, Grave Walkers, Cut Throat Island and Age of Darkness.

Lehigh Valley Zombies

During the weekends in October, the Lehigh Valley Zombies are bringing the scares to Orefield. This attraction features their classic Zombie Paintball as well as haunts that make up The Darkside like Hillbilly Hell, Dead End Corn Maze and Slaughter Barn.

House in the Hollow

Located in Newtown, and certainly worth the drive, House in the Hollow will be scaring people until the 28th of October. Scares include the Sleepy Hollow Hayride, House in the Hollow and Field of Fright, all of which utilize special effects and terrifying performers in order to bring guests a truly frightening experience.

Grim's Greenhouse Grimville Haunted Orchards

Located in Breinigsville, Grim's Greenhouse transforms into Grimville Haunted Orchards from October 6 to November 4. This attraction features a haunted orchard with walking trees and Farmer Grimmy's haunted corn maze with plenty of scares. There's also a paintball gallery featuring moving and popup targets, a water cannon and glow in the dark paint balls.

Haunted Easton Tours

Witness the transformation of Easton's Center Square from a cozy little city to a haunted night out. It may not be the biggest attraction in the Valley but the haunted walking tours take guests through the history and the sometimes-unsightly characters of Easton's past inhabitants.

The Bates Motel and Haunted Hayride

A trip out to Glenn Mills will be worth experiencing the Bates Motel and Haunted Hayride sometime before it closes on October 31st. Attractions include the Haunted Hayride featuring the return of the Headless Horseman, a special effects-powered Bates Motel and the Revenge of the Scarecrows Haunted Trail.

Captured LV Escape Room

Escape rooms may bill their business as a “great team building exercise,” but they are also terrifying and stressful because of the time limit. Think of it as a timed algebra test on steroids—but with friends! Captured LV in Bethlehem features three rooms: The Pirate's Chamber (a pirate-themed room), The Alchemy Lab (science fiction) and the Mayan Temple (Indiana Jones-esque).

Six Flags Fright Fest

Six Flags in Jackson, New Jersey, will be scaring guests until October 31st. New attractions include the steampunk-themed Unleashed and Lady of the Lake Cemetery, as well as returning favorites Blood Shed, Demon District, The Awakening and more.

Hotel of Horror

The Hotel of Horror in Saylorsburg will be until November 4th. This scare includes haunted attractions, the Exhibition of Macabre, activities like a tour though the afterlife in Coffin Coach, and the ability to scare fellow thrill seekers at the Interactive Patron Activated Scare.
