Writer’s Workshop at the EAPL
Head to the Easton Area Public Library on the second Thursday of every month for a writer’s workshop led by Angela Ackerman. Each month, attendees will learn new creative writing techniques and work on developing their unique writing style. On Thursday, March 13 at 5:30 p.m., attendees will learn about the basics of publishing through a brief lesson, a fun writing activity and time to share work with the group. Registration is required.
Concerts by Candlelight at The Vault
If you haven’t gotten the chance to attend a Candlelight Concert at The Vault in Allentown, this is your opportunity to choose between one of three concerts happening Friday, March 14 and Saturday, March 15. Surrounded by hundreds of glowing flameless candles, guests will be serenaded by a string quartet playing music during the various themed nights. On Friday, March 14 at 6:30 p.m., The Vault will be hosting "Candlelight: A Tribute to Coldplay," and on Saturday, March 15, "Candlelight: Rings and Dragons" will be at 6:30 p.m. with "Candlelight: The Best of the Beatles" at 8:45 p.m. Tickets range from $30 to $70 depending on the seating area and can be purchased online.
Sun Set Dinner at Diana’s Café & Gourmet Market
Check out Diana’s Café & Gourmet Market in Center Valley for their Sun Set Dinner, hosted on Friday, March 14 and Saturday, March 15 at 6 p.m. For $60 per person, this 3-course dinner features whipped ricotta bruschetta, sweet crab corn chowder and arugula salad as an appetizer, pork saltimbocca with brown butter orzo and green beans as an entrée and Boston cream pie for dessert. Limited reservations are available and can be made by calling the restaurant.
Parade of the Shamrocks
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Downtown Bethlehem for the 15th Annual Celtic Classic Parade of Shamrocks beginning at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 15! The parade kicks off on Broad Street and makes its way south on Main Street ending under the Hill-To-Hill Bridge. To continue the festivities, make sure you check out Donegal Square and McCarthy’s Irish Pub for traditional Irish food, drink, shopping and plenty of festivities!
Ayurvedic Inspired Cooking at Butterhead Kitchen
Join Sarah of Harmony Mountain House as she leads a guest series, "Ayurvedic Inspired Cooking," at Butterhead Kitchen in Easton on Wednesday, March 19 at 6 p.m. The cooking demo will feature a spring mocktail, creamy fennel soup, steamed kale salad with sweet potato, seasonal kitchari with local veggies, cilantro cashew chutney and warm rice pudding. This is a community table event, so no minimum group size is required. Tickets can be purchased for $79.50 online.
