We don’t know about you, but since the start of fall we’ve been filling up our calendars with all of the pumpkin patches, corn mazes and orchards our hearts can handle.
Lucky for us, the Philly Metro area is chock full of some of the most scenic and fun agritainment (think farm fun!) in the state. Check out three of our favorites worth making the trip for.
3 Must-Visit Farms for Fall Fun in the Philly Metro Area
1. Linvilla Orchards
ETA: 1 hour 15 minutes from Bethlehem
What can be considered a Disneyland of fall fun, Linvilla Orchards is only a short drive away in Media. With an endless array of seasonal activities, their fall favorite Pumpkinland opened in mid-September and continues into November. While you can’t pick your own pumpkins at Linvilla, you’ll find over 100 tons of pre-harvest pumpkins on display as well as straw bales and fall decorations of all kinds. During the day, you can catch a train or hayride or wait until dusk for their special harvest hayride that ends at a bonfire. Be sure to make a stop at their farm market for fresh produce, homemade salsa and guac, apple cider doughnuts and so much more. If that isn’t enough to keep you busy, there’s also a garden center with plants and outdoor décor for sale—and did we mention the on-site Ship Bottom Brewery beer garden? Featuring a collaboration with Linvilla themselves, you’ll be able to taste specialty ciders (think Cider Donut Hard Cider) amongst the string lights, fire pits, corn hole and Jenga. You’ll even catch Harvest Ridge Winery and DiFabio’s popping up in the beer garden on the weekends.

2. Shadybrook Farm
ETA: 1 hour 20 minutes from Bethlehem
Located in Yardley, Shadybrook Farm has everything you could possibly want in a fall farm experience. You’ll find an on-site market with Uncle Dave’s ice cream, organic veggies, deli, baked goods and plants alongside a five-acre corn maze, apple and sunflower picking plus a pumpkin patch (and that’s only the beginning). New this year for an add-on fee, you can experience the Eerie Illuminations exhibit with light-up Halloween displays synchronized to music. If Eerie Illuminations doesn’t do it for you, grab a s’mores kit and take a seat at a bonfire or find your way through a flash-light maze. While all of the above has us more than ready to plan our trip, quite possibly the best part about Shadybrook Farm is their on-site Stone’s Throw Pub with local eats, craft beer and spirits and live music.

3. Johnson’s Corner Farm
ETA: 1 hour 45 minutes from Bethlehem
Across the way in Medford New Jersey, you’ll find Johnson’s Corner Farm. Running until October 31, Johnson’s Corner Farm will be hosting their fall festival daily with live music, gem mining, duck races, barnyard animals as well as a weekend corn maze and sunflower stroll. Fall hayrides include a u-pick experience for apples, gourds, pumpkins, broccoli, cauliflower, sweet potatoes and even popcorn. A trip to Johnson’s wouldn’t be complete without a visit to their Farmhouse Kitchen where they specialize in cider doughnuts, chicken pot pies, dips, sandwiches alongside an ice cream counter with hand-dipped ice cream, soft serve and gourmet ice cream treats (like an apple cider slushie topped with an apple cider doughnut).
