Our team has been following along with the Valley’s growing plant-based options for a while now. We’ve highlighted Bethlehem’s Vegan Treats more times than I can count, our Best Of competition celebrates a reader-voted vegetarian/vegan menu each year, and we’re constantly promoting new local businesses as they pop up (think De Novo Creamery, B’s Bagels, Circle Donuts). But it started to become clear to us that this topic deserved an entire editorial feature of its own, and it’s finally here.
Turn to pg. 46 for the ultimate guide to plant-based eating, shopping and celebrating in the Lehigh Valley, as well as a few helpful explanations and resources. We’re breaking down everything from the vegan to the veg-friendly. Find local brunch spots, sweet treats, cooking classes and catering options, as well as a couple places that are worth venturing outside of the Lehigh Valley for. Herbivore or not, this feature will have you drooling from page to page and embracing a #MeatlessMonday.
And don’t miss five pumpkin patches worth the drive on pg. 42, a conversation with Skye Greene of Herb & Board on pg. 25, a recipe that involves pumpkin ricotta ravioli on pg. 60, Queso at Casa’s raclette on pg. 64 and so much more in this edition.

Editor's note: Following time of press, The Vegan Butcher announced that they will be embarking on a new chapter and closing their current Allentown eatery. Stay tuned for new locations to come as they partner with a national venture group to expand their footprint.
