As we welcome fall in the Lehigh Valley, there’s so much to look forward to. Every year, we plan our scenic drives through the region’s stunning foliage, mark our calendars for the area’s seasonal festivals (Oktoberfest at SteelStacks, the garlic and bacon fests in Easton, the Fall Wine Festival at the Lehigh Valley Zoo) and make plans to visit the Valley’s apple orchards, pumpkin patches, corn mazes and beyond. While there’s so much fun to be had, we hope that this edition gives you even more inspiration for ways to spend the cooler months ahead.
Go back in time with a visit to The Dery Mansion in Catasauqua. On pg. 50, read the story behind the historic property that was purchased by Herve Rousseau in 2017. Five years into the remodel, there’s still work to be done, but Rousseau celebrates the magic of the space, favoring a contemporary vibe that complements all of its antique features.
Then, go inside Warren and Derrick Clark’s Belleville Market, which made its debut in Easton this past July. The space is now home to 40-plus creators, curators and collectors. On pg. 62, we’re introducing you to 10 and hope their stories and their offerings will entice you to explore even more of what’s in store on 3rd & Pine.
Immerse yourself in the flavors of the season at Ironbound Farm and Ciderhouse, on pg. 74, celebrate what’s ahead for the area’s arts and culture scene on pg. 48, check out Black Box Charcuterie on pg. 26, get wellness insight from Matt Baker, founder and head coach at The Refinery Fitness in our new Living Well With column on pg. 35, and so much more.
