Bike for the Bridge

Jim Thorpe Train Station 1 Susquehanna St, Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania 18229
Now in its third year, Bike for the Bridge brings riders together to enjoy beautiful scenery and support a great cause that’s very important to bicyclists. Riders will enjoy biking the most scenic stretch of the D&L Trail – from the Black Diamond Trailhead through the Lehigh Gorge! The ride travels along the Lehigh River and through the mountains of northeastern Pennsylvania.
This ride is fully supported with shuttle service, bike techs, sweep riders, snacks along the way and water stations, souvenir t-shirt and after ride party. Riders, and their bikes, will be transported from downtown Jim Thorpe to their starting destination. This event is rain or shine.
All proceeds from this event help defray the cost of building the pedestrian bridge at Jim Thorpe. This critical connector will link downtown Jim Thorpe to the Lehigh Canal Towpath and the Lehigh Valley. There are two different options for this ride: •36 miles from Black Diamond Trailhead to downtown Jim Thorpe (10 a.m. start)
•15 miles from Rockport to downtown Jim Thorpe (12:30 p.m. start)
