The Pennsylvania Jazz Collective announces the second annual Christmas City Summer Jazz Festival.
This fantastic festival celebrates regional jazz artists with 12 diverse jazz bands.
This year’s festival headliner guest is pianist / keyboardist Tom Schuman of Spyro Gyra. A native of Buffalo, Tom relocated to Las Vegas. Spyro Gyra opens at the Blue Note in NYC on July 25 allowing for Tom’s local appearance. Anchoring the rhythm section on Tom’s set will be bassist Tony Marino and drummer Alex Ritz. Tom will also appear as a soloist on the PAJAZZ Big Band set.
Other acts include: NEEMA, the Frank DiBussolo Trio, Pete Fluck & Craig Thatcher, Eric Mintel Quartet, Nancy & Spencer Reed, the PAJAZZ Idol youth group winners, Dave Roth Trio, ESQ and the PAJAZZ Big Band.
Food & soft drinks will be available for purchase.
Beer & wine available for purchase from Hackett Winery and Lost Tavern Brewing.
The festival is free. (Suggested donation $10.00.)
Rain or shine. The Ice Rink is an all-weather facility and under cover.
The Pennsylvania Jazz Collective (PAJAZZ) is a non-profit educational organization dedicated to promoting Jazz, America’s indigenous art form, through concerts, community initiatives, educational outreach programs and by showcasing jazz artists in venues throughout the area. The organization’s goal is to educate and raise the community’s awareness of jazz as an art form.
