In association with Camp Rhythmo, the Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland will headline a concert at Moravian Academy featuring Moravian Academy alumnus, Michael Bodnyk '01, tenor, as well as 120 orchestra members, 100 handbell ringers, and more than 200 chorus musicians on October 28, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. This amazing show will take place in the Athletic and Wellness Center on the Merle-Smith Campus, 4313 Green Pond Rd., Bethlehem, PA 18020.
Mr. Bodnyk and his colleague, Dr. Ciaran Grant are co-directors of Camp Rhythmo, an organization that promotes health and wellness through music, movement, science, and creative arts.
The Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland (CBOI) was established in 1995 as a peace initiative and is now composed of 120 young people from all over Ireland – North and South. The CBOI is internationally recognized as one of Ireland’s flagship peace initiatives and has become the most acclaimed orchestra that Ireland has ever produced. In addition to presenting national and international performances, the CBOI delivers a choral education program to 20,000 children in 500 primary schools throughout Ireland and Northern Ireland.
