Eleven Sites on 2014 Holiday House Tour

The 2014 Bethlehem Historic District Association (BHDA) Holiday House Tour of properties located in the Historic District of North Bethlehem takes place on Saturday, Dec. 6 from 10 am - 4 pm.

     The tour is comprised of nine residences, Central Moravian Church and the Hotel Bethlehem. Architecture and features considered for this tour showcase the diverse structures within this district, from Victorian townhouses to cozy cottages to formal Federal-style brick structures.   

     Each property will be presented in festive holiday décor with particular attention paid to the historical heritage of each of home. Docents will be on hand to provide explanations of the history and builders of the homes and some homeowners will provide refreshments.

     Advance tickets are $20 and can be purchased at:  ArtsQuest Box Office, Steel Stacks; Moravian Book Shop, 423 Main Street; the Visitor's Center, 505 Main Street; at www.christmascity.org, and; www.artsquest.org. Same-day tickets may be purchased for $25 from the BHDA Box Office at 7 East Market Street.

     All proceeds from the tour benefit BHDA improvement projects that preserve and restore the original architectural features and landscapes within this North Bethlehem area. The 2014 tour is dedicated to enhancing thoughtfully maintained sidewalks by installing walkway lighting that upholds the ambiance appropriate to the National designation of this historic district.
