The Big Easy Easton Brass (the BEEB!!!!), is a community band open to all ages and skill levels bringing the New Orleans' tradition of the Second Line parade to the Lehigh Valley. We appreciate your support in helping let the community know about these free, open to the public opportunities to not only watch a show, but also play with the band!
First, we are starting a new series, "Parades in the Parks." Every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month, 7 p.m., we will visit a new park in the Easton area, parade around the park and end with a standing performance. The first ones scheduled are, Nevin Park (8/19), Forks Community Park (9/2), Fairview Park (9/16), and Vanderveer Park (10/7).
Another series we're beginning is our BEEBing by Nomination shows. We've asked the community to nominate people making a difference in our communities and if selected, we play a show on the sidewalk of their home or special place related to the person. Our first BEEBing by nomination will be for Jake Aaron Book who has been cleaning up the Delaware River - it will be held down at the Scott Park boat launch, Sunday, 8/16 at 6 p.m.
These shows will allow for social distancing, are free and open to the public. The BEEB has no corporate sponsors, we are not playing to make a profit, our goal is to simply bring joy to our communities.
