LUAG Educator, Patricia McAndrew and Director/Chief Curator, Ricardo Viera discuss 150 years of photography in South Bethlehem.
Ricardo Viera is professor of art and Director/Chief Curator of the Lehigh University Art Galleries/Museum Operation, where he has established a visual laboratory program with the LUAG work/study collection and a nationally recognized collection of Latin American photography and video. Professor Viera teaches courses in museum and curatorial studies, independent topics in the history of photography, public art, visual thinking strategies and multimedia/new media workshops.
Patricia McAndrew is LUAG’s Coordinator of Museum Education and Visitor Services. She is also a freelance writer, editor and head of an independent publishing company, Moon Trail Books. A former Fulbright scholar with a degree in History, she is best known for her Danish translations and work on the Royal Danish Ballet. In recent years she has focused on the career of writer Stephen Vincent Benet and aspects of the American Civil War.
