Senior Student Virtual Art Exhibit: LV Charter HS for the Arts
to
The Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts (Charter Arts) will hold its annual Senior Student Art Exhibit virtually this year. The exhibit link will go live on the school's website (CharterArts.org) on Friday, May 1, 2020, which would have been the date of the opening reception held in the school's Corpora Gallery, located at 321 East 3rd Street, Bethlehem.
This acclaimed exhibit has been held annually since 2008. The Charter Arts visual art faculty, senior art majors, and other school personnel work together to produce the exhibit. For the past five years, the exhibit has been held in the school's beautiful Corpora Gallery, since the school's current facility in South Bethlehem was built in 2015. Prior to that, past venues for the exhibition have included: The Bethlehem House Gallery, Wired Gallery, Hard Bean Cafe, Euro Yogurt, Ambre Studio, and the Salemme Foundation Gallery.
The exhibit is the culminating event for senior art majors, showcasing their strongest artwork created over the duration of their four-year artistic education at Charter Arts. The artwork is juried by visual art faculty with a focus on current original artwork representative of each senior's individualized learning and artistic growth. Exhibition collections of the past have included Regional and National Scholastic Art Award-winning drawings, paintings, and sculptures.
" I would like to congratulate visual art seniors for their outstanding artistic growth and achievements!" says Lorie Reinhard, the school's Artistic Director of Visual Arts. "Thank you for focusing on submitting artwork to the first-ever online senior exhibit. A special thank you to visual arts faculty member, Michael Fickes for providing this opportunity and assembling an amazing 2020 online senior art exhibit!
