A masterpiece often begins with a humble sketch. Sketching is a crucial process for creative people, and though the term “sketch” instantly brings to mind fine art, the processes of drafting and planning expands beyond the field of art. You’re invited to to take a look inside the planning process through the quick sketches people make. Rarely exhibited sketches from local artists including Joseph Cantieni, Emil Gelhaar and, J. Carroll Tobias will accompany completed works on display. See embroidery plans from students at the Ladies’ Seminary, City planning documents, building blueprints, and more! Don’t miss out on this exhibition of sketchbooks on loan from members of the Lehigh Art Alliance and Bethlehem Palette Club! Come explore how great creations began with a single stroke of the pencil!
