The Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts will hold its annual spring ice show, Color My World, on Saturday, May 7 at 3 p.m. at the Steel Ice Center in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
This year's show will be hosted by legendary figure skater, Tai Babilonia. Babilonia and her partner Randy Gardner, were World Figure Skating Champions in 1979 and were two-time Olympians. She is beloved by figure skating fans around the world and is considered a legend in the sport. Babilonia will also be holding a short meet & greet and book signing for her skating coloring book, Tai's Skating Coloring Book (Jacqueline's Coloring Book.Volume 4), immediately following the show. Her book is also available on Amazon.com.
A special guest performance by two-time U.S. national figure skating champion, Alissa Czisny, will be another highlight in the show. Czisny won gold in 2009 and 2011, and bronze in 2007. She is an inspiration and role model to many young figure skaters, athletes, and artists.
Color My World will feature performances by Charter Arts figure skating students and alumni as well as students from some of the school's other arts disciplines. Live music will be provided by a string ensemble and the Charter Arts Gospel Choir, dance students will perform an upbeat hip-hop routine, and an inspiring live spoken-word introduction will be presented by literary arts students.
