Theatre: Tartuffe By Molière: Translated By Richard Wilbur
to
Zoellner Arts Center 420 E. Packer Ave., Bethlehem, Pennsylvania 18015
This French comedy comes to life in a sparkling English verse translation. Orgon has taken into his home the righteous, pious and virtuous Tartuffe. When the rest of the family doubts Tartuffe’s virtue, traps are set, masks are dropped, and the truth is exposed. This comic knot is so tightly tied that it takes near divine intervention to put things right. Augustine Ripa, director. Location: Diamond Theater
