Bird Walk and Avian Research at Tott's Gap Conservation Area
Join us at Totts Gap Conservation Area to learn about the amazing work being done at this property to enhance bird habitat. Totts Gap has some of the best remaining Grassland Habitat in Northampton County, and hosts declining breeding species like American Kestrel, Bobolink and Eastern Meadowlark that breed in very few other places locally. We will take a bird walk through multiple habitat types, view an Osprey nest, discuss the grassland restoration work being done, and observe a bird banding demonstration.
This program is appropriate for ages 8 and above. If sunny weather is predicted, come prepared with sunscreen, water, and consider a hat.
Please, no dogs permitted. Portable restroom available.
This program is provided with funding from Northampton County Parks and is offered to the public for free; please register on line.
