After launching Curated Aegean in the winter of 2022, owner Melis Carroll says her experience selling her products at local events and markets highlighted for her a gap in Downtown Bethlehem: a space that could bring together diverse vendors to showcase their creations. “This fueled my passion to create a physical location where local artisans could display their products, fostering a sense of community and connection,” says Carroll. “In today’s digital world, where buying products online is convenient but often impersonal, Kaleidoscope Collective offers a unique space where shoppers can engage directly with the makers behind the items they purchase.” Kaleidoscope Collective believes that creativity manifests in many forms, so their mission is to honor and uplift these unique expressions by providing a supportive and vibrant home for creators. The diverse range of vendors includes candle makers, creators of home goods, artisans specializing in Bethlehem-specific products and skilled jewelry makers crafting handmade pieces. Kaleidoscope Collective embodies the essence of a kaleidoscope: vibrant, colorful and ever-changing. “Our space is a dynamic environment that continually evolves to showcase a variety of creative expressions, making each visit a unique experience,” says Carroll.
