Elegant Headband Twist
You'll need: an elastic headband, curling iron, hairspray
Perfect for running errands or a special evening out, the Headband Twist can be worn for all occasions and works well with many different hair lengths and styles.
Start with brushed hair. Start wrapping 1-inch sections around the barrel of the curling iron. Hold for 10-15 seconds each. Straight hair works for this look, as well.
When finished curling your entire head, work your hands through the curls to loosen them.
Take a thick or thin elastic headband (opt for a bejeweled band for a more dressier look) and place it on the crown of your head. It might feel awkward at first, but start adjusting until the band feels snug and won't slip. You can also secure the band in place with bobby pins at the sides of your ears or at the top of your head—make sure the pins are hidden.
Once secure, grab small sections of hair and twist the hair around the back of the headband. Continue grabbing small sections and twisting hair until the entire back of the elastic headband is hidden.
Touch up any curls. Spray with hairspray.
Tousled Side Braid
You'll need: hair tie or clear elastic, texturizing styling spray
Disheveled and totally gorgeous, the Tousled Side Braid is another look that's effortlessly chic and flirty. Wear it casually, or glam it up with a smoky eye and long lashes for a romantic date night.
Start with clean or day old hair and generously work in sea salt or your favorite styling spray to give your stands a tousled look.
Part hair on the side, then gather at the bottom and bring it to the opposite side you parted it on.
Divide hair into three sections under your ear. Tightly braid your hair (a fishtail braid works also).
Finish braiding then fasten it with a hair tie.
Grab the sides of your braid and lightly pull apart. Start loosening it up by working your way from the top to bottom. The messier the better!
Take a few strands from the front of your hair and let them fall around your face. Don't hairspray; let your hair naturally fall throughout the day.
Bohemian Braided Half-Crown
You'll need: hair ties, bobby pins
This next hairstyle will make heads turn. The Bohemian Half Braided Crown hairdo is dainty, elegant, and quick to create.
Part your hair how you usually would. Take a small chunk of hair from above your ear and start braiding.
When finished, bring it around to the back of your head. Secure it with a bobby pin.
Do the same for the other side. Grab a small chunk from above your ear, braid and bring around the back of your head and place it above the other braid. Secure with a bobby pin.
Add additional pins to places that might need it. Tuck in or adjust any hair that might be sticking out and voila!
