Jett Ulaner Sarachek's show, Explorations, will shake up your visual routine with its strange, delightful and deeply personal art. Her photographs reveal vigorous environments that forge a fascinating intimacy between the viewer and the image.
Even a cursory sample of her art is a revelatory experience. Sarachek's color photographs have a painterly quality that occasionally seems to be bleeding into an unknown dimension. One's imagination is often elliptically propelled into chimerical realms where imagination and topography blend into beguiling possibilities. Her black and white art is exquisite, shedding new light on familiar forms.
Concerning her latest creations, Sarachek thoughtfully shared, “I am presently exploring the landscape of the sensuous. A seed is planted. It grows into an organic being which we hope to nurture. As humans we long for a connection of our truest self to another. My new work explores this longing, invoking memory and provoking response to our own desires and yearning. These images emphasize the relationship between our deepest
desires and the quest to nourish our souls.”
On exhibit at the Banana Factory in Bethlehem from January 18-March 16.
