I'm going to share with you beauty tips that, in one hour, can give you a head-to-toe, DIY spa overhaul. Wine and candles are encouraged but optional.
Let's start at the top with your hair. Treatments are no longer required to be put on shampooed hair! In fact, one of the recent disrupters to the beauty industry, and one of celebrity colorists' favorite friends, is Olaplex, specifically Olaplex Treatment No. 3. What's cool about a treatment like Olaplex No. 3 is that it is designed to be put on dry hair. Unless the hair has been sprayed in place with a lacquer, the clock starts now, and the hair will have the treatment on for approximately 45 minutes. If your hair is short, you can slick it back, and, if it is long, clip your hair up out of the way as we proceed.
Move to the face and remove any makeup, and cleanse. Pat your face dry and apply your favorite facemask—process as directed or up to 20 minutes. If you have chosen the wine option, now is a good time for a sip.
With things like olive oil, cocoa butter, vitamin E capsules, even oatmeal, brown sugar and honey, you can create some easy at-home foot masks. Sit down, light some candles, kick off your shoes and let's get something good on those feet. Grab two large Ziploc® bags and cover your feet.
It should be around 25 minutes since we began. Relax for about 15 minutes, and then we'll head to the shower.
Grab a loofa, your favorite body scrub or both. Rinse and wash your feet before you step in to the shower, and don't wet your hair yet. Let's start by rinsing your facemask before we move on to your body. It should be about 45 minutes on the clock.
After rinsing your face, wash your body before we start a full body scrub. This is another easy DIY option or small indulgence, if you prefer a store bought or name brand option. Let's get scrubbing with or without loofa, and remember, you are polishing your body, not stripping paint.
Finally, rinse the treatment from your hair. Shampoo and condition, and give your body one more rinse before shutting off the shower.
By my estimates, you should still have a few minutes for a couple more sips of wine.
