Matthew and Andrea Russell say expanding their Kona Ice offerings by introducing Travelin' Tom's Coffee to the Lehigh Valley was an easy decision. The national brand and sister company to Kona Ice has been around for about two and a half years, but Matthew and Andrea debuted the truck locally in September. “A lot of R&D and real-world testing has led to an amazingly capable truck that runs completely off batteries and solar panels,” they share. “It's a great addition that allows us to be able to keep our employees working, and to have some cash flow through the colder months.” Iced and hot drink options are available, including lattes, cold brews, macchiatos, frappes, flat whites and more. “Fan favorites are caramel frappes when the weather is warm, and hot chocolate and caramel macchiatos for the hot offerings,” they say. This winter, keep an eye out for their peppermint offerings and find Travelin' Tom's Coffee at SteelStacks' Christkindlmarkt through December 17.
