Get a sun-kissed summer look without risking damage from UV rays with this tutorial from Haven Salon and Spa's awesome makeup artist, Holly Plank.
PREP
Start with a tinted moisturizer and brush on a bronzer like beautyADDICTS HydraSUNRays ($28). Bronze the areas that would be tanned by the sun: forehead, cheekbones and jaw in a 3 shape on either side of the face.
EYES
Holly used the beautyADDICTS SolutionEYES palette ($35) and Effortless Eyes eyeliner ($16) in express to make the eyes pop. If you opt to add false lashes, try these expert tips:
Measure and cut the lashes first to make sure they fit your lash line.
Try using dark lash glue if the look of visible glue frustrates you.
Look down into a hand mirror when you're applying the lashes for a better angle.
Add mascara —like beautyADDICTS showOFF ($20) at the end to blend the falsies in with your natural lashes.
Filling in your brows will give you that finished look. Holly recommends using a powder rather than a pencil and starting with a strong line along the bottom edge of your eyebrows, feathering up from there.
LIPS
First step: line the lips. Prep the lips by going around them with a pressed powder to keep the color from bleeding. Apply a liner like beautyADDICTS Sinful ($16) in short, smooth strokes at an angle. Don't use a super sharp pencil or the line can look too severe and it won't blend as well.
For this bright summer look, Holly chose a luscious lip color called Seduce ($18) by beautyADDICTS. Apply the lipstick with a brush and the look will last longer and you will use less product.
You can soften any bright color with a sheer gloss in the same color family, as Holly did with beautyADDICTS Sweet Lips Lipgloss in Sheer Peach ($17).
