Hi, my name is Kelsey Leck, and I'm the new editorial intern at LVS! Before I get started talking about my experience as an intern, let me begin by telling you a little about myself.
I grew up in Bethlehem, a town that seems small but that's still constantly surprising me. Luckily, I have time to continue exploring it, since I'm a sophomore at Lehigh University, where I'm double majoring in Journalism and International Affairs with a minor in French. This combination of studies is perfect for me, because I love to read and write about interesting events and people. I'm not sure where this love is going to take me, but I know I will figure it out.
Today is only my third day here at the magazine, but I already feel like I've gained so much experience. I've been working mainly on the “Life in the Valley” articles for the August edition, so I've had the pleasure of interviewing lots of residents who are doing great things for the Valley. I have also been browsing through events in the area for our Stepping Out calendar; there are so many exciting things coming up that I almost wish it was August already! But, I don't want to hurry through things. I want to enjoy and learn from every moment of my internship. Check back with you next week.
