As I sit in my cubicle I feel myself suffering from another ailment. Finding itself in the same family as post-party depression, my body aches with post-photo shoot depression. Or maybe that's just my feet aching from being on them all day long?
Last Tuesday was certainly a highlight of my internship so far, assisting on the October fashion shoot for the magazine. My prestigious intern duties included unloading supplies, taping the bottoms of shoes, fetching sandwiches, steaming the clothes, guarding the clothes, admiring the clothes and thinking of ways to steal the clothes without getting caught. It is a serious tease putting someone who loves fashion in charge of beautiful, and currently unattainable, new clothes. This may or may not have contributed to my post-photo shoot depression.
Besides the clothes, it was so exciting to watch the photographer and model in action and to see how an actual photo shoot runs. The shoot showcases some of the new features of Allentown such as the City Center building, The Hamilton Kitchen & Bar, which is SO nice inside and out, and the Lehigh Valley Health Network gym, where marketing intern Carrie and I got a quick workout in.
Okay, so we didn't actually work out. They basically needed us as extras so it didn't look like the model was a loner at the gym. But we are still in the shot, even though I am pretty sure they are going to blur us in the background. All minor details, but you can see Carrie and me in our modeling debut in the October issue of Style. I'll be the pink blur in the background behind the gorgeous model!!
