Ellie Mental Health, a rapidly expanding, millennial-made and -owned mental health agency, opened a Lehigh Valley location in August, bringing a unique approach to mental health to the region. Husband-and-wife owners Jack Rong and Sonya Shen say that the Bethlehem location is the first of three Ellie Mental Health clinics they intend on opening in the Lehigh Valley. “Starting this clinic is a deeply personal journey for us. As parents, we know how crucial mental health is and we’re dedicated to providing the best possible care to the Bethlehem community,” says Rong. “By opening our new clinic, we hope to break down the barriers and stigma surrounding mental health." Ellie Mental Health offers therapy for individuals and families, couples counseling and communitybased mental health services. Soon, the clinic will also provide psychiatric medication management for patients. “We are thrilled to bring Ellie Mental Health’s innovative approach to Bethlehem,” says Shen. “Our goal is to create a supportive environment where clients feel comfortable and therapists are empowered to provide the best care possible.” Each location is independently owned and operated by entrepreneurs with local ties who share the same passion for making mental health more accessible.
