Is there a drink less controversial than the espresso martini? The unanimously adored cocktail has earned a reputation of having a sort of domino effect when it comes to ordering. In other words, if someone at your table requests an espresso martini, chances are at least four others will follow. That's just the rules. We don't make them.
MIXX at Wind Creek Bethlehem knows this to be true. Their MIXXTINI, which offers a twist on the classic espresso martini, is made with Baileys, Whipped vodka, Kahlùa and espresso. “Due to the drink's success, this has been on MIXX's menu since it opened,” share Keith Sirio, beverage operations manager, and Christine Steffey, beverage supervisor.
“It is a sweet, creamy espresso drink,” they say. “Similar to your favorite latte!” The ingredients are poured into a shaker with ice, shaken, and served with three espresso beans as a garnish. The drink is available all year round—and is easily customizable, too. “Add in your favorite flavor, liquor or simple syrup for a twist!”
If you're a fan of the MIXXTINI—and who wouldn't be?—the team at MIXX recommends trying The Spiced Tequila Latte. “[It] is a similar style of drink to the MIXXTINI, except it features Anejo tequila and cinnamon, not vodka,” they share.
