The craving for cold carbonation is strongest in summertime, and local breweries have been concocting their own refreshing seltzers to dethrone the ubiquitous White Claw. Crack open one of these fruity, fizzy drinks and see for yourself!

1. Kiwi | Cave Brewing Company

1407 Seidersville Rd., Bethlehem | 610.739.1381 | cavebrewing.com

You can count on a wide array of seltzer flavors available at this nano-brewery in Bethlehem. While the taproom's located in Lehighton, pickup at the brewery is perfect to whisk off to your summer gatherings, with a ton of options, like lemon-lime, black cherry, strawberry and, fresh for this season, piña colada, kiwi and mango.

2. Peach | Birthright Brewing Company

57 S. Main St., Nazareth | 610.365.2225 | birthrightbrewingco.com

Alternatives to beer abound at Birthright Brewing Co. in Nazareth. Not only do their seltzers come in a variety of succulent summer flavors like peach and black cherry, but you can also opt to get your sip on in slushie form. Birthright's arsenal includes hard teas and lemonades in a lot of cookout-compatible flavors like watermelon lemonade and Southern sweet tea.

3. Raspberry | Sherman Street Beer Company

1825 E. Tremont St., Allentown | shermanstreetbeer.com

A newcomer to the Valley's brewery scene, Sherman Street Beer Company offers a menu of real food and outdoor space for cornhole and friendly doggies. With seltzer flavors in rotation, you can look for a strawberry watermelon mix along with raspberry this summer. Made with real fruit, the gemstone colors are worth decanting into a glass!

4. The Stinger | The Colony Meadery

905 Harrison St., Allentown | 211 E. 3rd St., Bethlehem | 855.632.3669 | colonymeadery.com

If you're a lover of the sweet, fragrant libations brewed by The Colony Meadery, or you just want to shake up your seltzer experience, try the Stinger, a 5.4 percent honey seltzer with lemon zest. Colony's locations include Southside Bethlehem and the Bridgeworks Enterprise Center in Allentown, shared with HiJinx Brewery and County Seat Spirits for beverage-option overload.

5. Watermelon | Lost Tavern Brewing

782 Main St., Hellertown | 444 Main St., Bethlehem | 484.851.3980 | losttavernbrewing.com

With the bright picnic flavor of a crisp wedge of watermelon, this cold sip of summer can be found at Lost Tavern Brewing, located in Hellertown and Bethlehem. The seltzer is brewed to imperial status with an 8 percent ABV and, to make matters even more charming, has a pretty pink color to catch the sunlight.
