Buttermilk Fried Chicken
The Bayou in Bethlehem is the Valley’s twist on southern cooking. Their buttermilk-fried chicken comes with bread-and-butter pickles and a sweet mashed marshmallow brulee. If your mouth isn’t already watering, The Bayou also serves fried frog’s legs in a buttermilk herb emulsion.
Noellie’s Famous Wings
Pita King in Allentown serves Noellie’s Famous Chicken Wings in 12, 24 and 36 count. Order them boneless or bone-in in Hot, Mild, BBQ, Spicy BBQ, Mango BBQ, Sweet and Spicy, Caribbean Inferno or Garlic. Vegetarians, try the fried cauliflower served with tahini sauce and pita bread.

At Two Rivers Brewing Company in Easton, the Nashville HOT Chicken is only an appetizer. These fried, boneless chicken tenders are covered in kicked-up seasoning and served with a side of sweet and sour pickles, green goddess dressing and white bread. Now, what to order as your entrée?
Southern Fried Chicken
For once, skip the wings at P.J. Whelihan’s to show a fried chicken sandwich some love. The pub’s Southern Fried Chicken consists of a buttermilk-fried chicken breast served with American cheese, spicy pickle aioli and pickle chips on a seeded potato roll.

The Mint Gastropub in Bethlehem offers a gluten-free fried chicken that is breaded with jalapeño cornbread, covered in garlic-rosemary honey-butter sauce, served with a side of pickles and collard greens.
