After realizing just how popular sliders were amongst Blended by Brü Daddy’s guests, executive chef Gil DeGruccio worked with Cassie Ryan, VP of food and beverage, to develop an entire line of 14 different sliders. “We wanted to match our menu to the way people want to eat when they are out with friends and family,” says CEO and president Richard Ryan. “They want variety, they want to share food and they want smaller portions. The Blended Slider Bar allows us to meet all those needs.”
Most diners opt for the Phantom Hat Trick, which allows them to select any three sliders on the menu. Ryan says guests love the Allentown Hot Chicken, Bourbon Bacon Burger, Turkey Apple Brie and South Philly Cheesesteak. The restaurant has plans to rotate the offerings seasonally, featuring heartier varieties in the fall and winter and lighter ones in the spring and summer. “We also see totally new ones emerging year-round,” says Ryan. “The Slider Bar allows us to create on the food side of our business and offer our guests the variety they are looking for. The possibilities are endless.”
Enjoy your sliders with one of Blended’s craft beers. “One of our best pairings would be Brü Daddy’s Black Sheep schwarzbier, which is a traditional German-style black lager,” says Ryan. “On the lighter side, we also have our Gloves Off amber ale, which pairs well with some of our cold sliders like the Turkey Apple Brie.”
