Bread Pudding with Jack Daniels Sauce
One of Vintage Restaurant and Bar’s most popular desserts just happens to be one of ours. The undeniably delectable Bread Pudding with Jack Daniels Sauce is a dessert we just can’t stop thinking about. For the last 12 years, Chef Mike Pichetto has taken the traditional bread pudding and amped it up with a distinct kick of whiskey. It all starts with a bread pudding base created with custard, cream and eggs, served warm. This doughy and delightful confection is then bathed in a harmonious blend of syrup, sugar and Jack Daniels. Don’t bother asking for two forks, you will not want to share this one.

Sweet Potato Quesadilla
We just love going to the Blue Sky Café on Bethlehem’s South Side for its cozy, yet cosmopolitan feel and its organically based menu that boasts combinations of entrée creations that you just can’t get anywhere else. High on our list of their offerings is the Sweet Potato Quesadilla with its tiers of delicately scrambled eggs, cheddar jack cheese, sour cream and black bean salsa. The flavor secret is definitely in the whipped sweet potato filling that bursts forth from the fork as you dig into your dish. This is a thoroughly satisfying brunch choice that will have you feeling full and happy ‘til dinner.

Kani Salad
It’s easy to miss this delectable appetizer on the menu at Bamboo Asian Cuisine & Sushi Bar in Allentown, but we urge you not to. But when you order the Kani salad—think pink not green, because this is not a leafy endeavor. What you will get is an ample serving of sumptuous chunked crabmeat in a creamy, yet light and spicy dressing. For texture, Bamboo adds in slivers of fresh cucumber, so there’s a bit of crunch in every bite. This is the perfect start to a meal and is big enough for two to share. We suggest you make a reservation as even on a rainy Thursday night, this place was packed.
