Bright Communications was founded in 2004. As you reflect on nearly 20 years of business, what are you most proud of?
I’m most proud of the enduring relationships I’ve built with my team members, authors and partners—most of whom live right here in the Lehigh Valley. The books I display on my shelves that I’ve published are a tangible reminder of their incredible creativity and talent. I’m very blessed to get to work with these extraordinary people.
What would you say is the most rewarding part about the work that you do?
It’s an incredible privilege and pleasure helping authors bring their books to life. Many of the authors I work with have been thinking—and dreaming—about their books for years, even decades. Some of them carried notebooks around, writing their books a bit at a time. Most of them carried their book ideas around in their hearts—looking forward to the day when they would publish their books.
What are you looking forward to professionally in 2023?
I’m about to franchise my business! I think that we will be the first book publishing franchise. People will be able to buy a Bright Communications franchise, so they can use my programs and processes, hire my team and talent, and benefit from my brand and support—to have their own turnkey publishing company.
