Qiana Cressman has been writing since she was four years old. At 13, as valedictorian of her eighth grade class, Cressman wrote and gave a speech to more than 400 people. At 21, she created and published her first newsletter for a 7,000-member church. So, it’s no surprise that after 15 years in the media industry, Cressman founded Emerge Enterprise Media, LLC in 2018.
Her multimedia organization boasts an impressive list of accomplishments, producing Emerge Woman Magazine and a corresponding podcast, with loyal readers in 16 states. “Over the years, I’ve learned the importance of ensuring that everyone has a voice, and through Emerge, I’m able to create a media platform for diverse, accomplished women to share their expertise, both from a social impact and business perspective,” says Cressman. “I combined my passion for media, empowering and connecting women in Emerge.”
Emerge Enterprise Media works in three branches. First, through coaching, consulting and empowerment resources. Second, through the magazine, podcast and blog. Finally, through professional, motivational speaking events where Cressman discusses leadership and maximizing one’s human potential.
Emerge instills a personal philosophy in its readers: that every woman’s journey matters. “When we negatively compare ourselves to what another woman has or is, it becomes increasingly hard to see the beauty of the value we bring, and genuinely celebrate other women,” says Cressman. “Hence, ‘every woman’s journey matters’ means my path or journey may not look like yours, but we’re all valuable in the unique perspective, voice, talent and background we bring.”
