Happy Father's Day
Father’s Day is this Sunday, but the celebrations could last all weekend long with these events geared towards dads of every style.
Lorikeets at the Lehigh Valley Zoo
1. Lehigh Valley Zoo
For all those animal-loving dads out there, head to the Lehigh Valley Zoo this Father’s Day weekend, where the first 300 dads through the door receive Lehigh Valley Zoo wooden golf tees. Kids, be sure to stop by the Father’s Day craft stations throughout the park to make dad a sweet gift on his special day!
2. Steel Stacks Grand Prix
Race into Father’s Day this weekend at the Steel Stacks Grand Prix, where dad can race high-speed go karts around a nearly half-mile track! Get there at 9 a.m. on Sunday for the race, which will begin at 10 a.m. Tickets can be purchased on a first-come basis at the track.
3. Iron Pigs Baseball
Catch a ball game with dad this Sunday at Coca Cola Park as the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs take on the Pawtucket Red Sox! The game begins at 1:35 p.m., and the first 2,000 men through the gates will go home with a Tube 6-pack cooler bag!
4. Hops for Pops at McCarthy’s Red Stag Pub
Cheers to you, dad! Head over to McCarthy’s Red Stag Pub this Father’s Day from 5–8 p.m. for their annual Hops for Pops celebration! Enjoy beer tastings from local breweries, a barbecue buffet and live music!
5. Father’s Day Beef & Beer Train Ride
Take a step through time with dad (or grandpa!) this Father’s Day weekend at the Colebrookedale Railroad as they serve locally brewed beverages, dinner and dessert in their century-old train cars. Trains depart at 1 & 4 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.

For the outdoorsy dad this Father’s Day weekend, head to Sand Island in Bethlehem for a leisurely bike ride to Canal Park in Allentown, followed by a downriver canoe ride back to Bethlehem! Connect with dad and nature during this special event on Saturday from 1–5 p.m.
